My photographic philosophy is that every picture is a work of art.
The first element is the shot. I may see it, or my partner may see it differently from me. Cynthia sees shots that I don’t.
The second element is post processing.
This allows me to edit the picture the way I saw it, which is most often different from the way the camera recorded it.
Post processing also allows me to make the photographs distinctly my own, by cropping, adjusting light balances, adjusting colour balances, and sometimes a shot begs to be presented in black and white.
Black and white is a somewhat alien view, because we see everything in colour.
